TOURS:
TOUR ONE: A day in the “new” city: Shop the Gueliz, visiting rug and leather shops. A small local souk, and the only Morrocan book store with books available in English. Relax at one of the local coffee shops and then follow our cook home for lunch on the patio.
$75/person
TOUR TWO: Mondays at the Market. This is not a cooking class but includes talks on Moroccan food, a trip to Jemma el Fnaa, the big souk, visiting spice shops, tasting olives and feasting your eyes and have lunch at one of the wonderful snack bars in the market.
$125/person (includes transportation, meals and tips).
TRIPS:
Visit the valleys, cities, souks, sands and mountains around Marrakech. Four popular options are listed below or you can create your own journey. Prices quoted will include car, driver, guide, food and if needed, lodging. Opportunities are also available to trek in the high Atlas Mountains, visit world heritage sights, sleep in Berber tents or ride camels and sleep in the Sahara Desert. All guides are licensed and most are multi-lingual.
ESSOURIA. Take a day trip or an overnight to the ancient seaside of Essouria and enjoy waterfront dining and the local souk. On the way you will pass through the argana orchards and if you are lucky will see the goats in the argana trees. A stop at the argana co-operatives is a must.
The SAHARA desert is at least a three day trip but could be extended. Drive over the Atlas Mountains, visit a UNESCO world heritage site, sleep under the stars in a Taureg tent in the Sahara and ride a camel on the great dunes. If a longer trip is possible, a visit to Merzousa and the Dades is worthwhile.
OURIKA is a half day trip. Lunch on an authentic Berber tagine and dangle your feet in the rivers edge, ride a camel, shop for rugs or pottery and be home in time for dinner.
CASABLANCA: If you catch an early train to Casa, you can visit the enormous Hassan II mosque, enjoy lunch on the beach and catch an evening train back to Marrakech.
PRICES AVAILABLE UPON REQUEST.
